Who Is the VP Pick? Who Cares. This Is Why…🙏❤️😇
I mostly avoid the propaganda machine otherwise known as mainstream media, aka the news. I’d suggest you minimize your consumption as well. The adage, Garbage In, Garbage Out has never been more true than today.
The Bible puts it this way:
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.~ Romans 12:2
Christians and Politics
I’ve been warned by “very religious” people that believers shouldn’t get involved in politics. I think that’s ridiculous. While we shouldn’t get into screaming matches with the unhinged, we have a responsibility to Pray for our country & Vote for faith-based leaders.
Okay, if there are no obvious candidates to support then pray for those who support biblical principles. Even the conquering Persian ruler Cyrus the Great allowed the subjected Jews to rebuild the temple. But please don’t lose your witness while posting and bashing the opposition.
Done and Done
We get too wrapped up in looking to man and government to fix this and save that. We forget that God is still and always will be in control. Simply put, God’s got this.
He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. ~ Daniel 2:21
One example of a horrible leader was Herod the Great, who was king when Jesus was born. He tried his best to stop what he thought was a threat to his political position by having all boys 2 years and younger slaughtered in hopes that Jesus would be one of them. Talk about attacking your opposition!
But guess what? Jesus came, conquered and rules even still today. You see, there’s no reason for us to become fearful or angry over a name on a ballot. Casting your lot to heaven in prayer counts so much more than supporting any candidate.
